It then provides summarized historical information so that you can decide whether you want to go to that location and see it for yourself or not. You can prioritize where you want to go quickly and easily. There are over 200 locations to choose from. This version of History Near Me is for the Washington D.C. area.

An Internet connection is required for History Near Me to work.

Simply tap on the user location button located at the bottom right of your screen so that the map zooms in to your current location. This way you can then select the nearest locations that you are interested in. Pinch and zoom in or zoom out to change the scale and see more or less map pins.
